{"id":2934,"date":"2008-02-18T17:12:41","date_gmt":"2008-02-18T15:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marlaineverhelst.com\/blog\/nl\/2008\/02\/18\/festival-van-mirepoix\/"},"modified":"2020-03-09T18:44:52","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T18:44:52","slug":"festival-van-mirepoix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marlaineverhelst.com\/site\/nl\/2008\/02\/18\/festival-van-mirepoix\/","title":{"rendered":"Festival van Mirepoix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Er kwam een uitnodiging binnen om mee te doen aan een tentoonstelling in het kader van het 20-jarig bestaan van het <a href=\"http:\/\/marlaineverhelst.com\/dollfest.htm\" title=\"Mirepoix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poppentheater festival in Mirepoix<\/a> in Zuid Frankrijk. Wat liggen daar veel herinneringen en &#8230; wat vliegt de tijd. Toen onze kinderen nog klein waren (ze zijn nu 25, 20 en 14 jaar). gingen we jaren achtereen naar Mirepoix. Van de 4 weken gaf ik er dan \u00e9\u00e9n les tijdens het festival en ik nam poppen mee waarmee ik deelnam aan de bij het festival horende expositie in het stadhuis. We zaten altijd in een huisje op een heuvel boven het stadje bij Monsieur en Madame Diou. De kinderen hebben het nog vaak over hen.<br \/>\nMirepoix is een Middeleeuws stadje ten zuiden van Toulouse tegen de Pyrenee\u00ebn aan. Het authentieke marktplein leent zich bij uitstek voor straatoptredens. In een van mijn workshops zat een Spaanse jongen op les die ook poppenspeler was. Hij had een van zijn speelpoppen mee gebracht, een groot groen schuimrubberen ding. Op een avond besloot hij op te gaan treden, het was alleen op het verkeerde tijdstip want zijn mede-cursisten waren het enige publiek. In het afsluitende weekend kwamen vrienden en vriendinnen uit Spanje over die samen met hem in een band speelden. Ze speelden Catalaanse volksmuziek, hun cd heb ik nog steeds thuis liggen. Wel heel bijzonder zo&#8217;n priv\u00e9 optreden tijdens een cursus.<br \/>\nHet festival wordt meestal gehouden in het begin van augustus. Mocht je deze zomer in de buurt zijn, ga dan zeker eens kijken.<br \/>\nDoor het NIADA festival en omdat het een fikse autoreis is, is het er de laatste jaren niet meer van gekomen om een workshop in Mirepoix te geven.
