Heat setting Synthetics

Last year I spent a lot of time on preparing digital classes. One of these classes was Heat setting Synthetics for the Fiber Arts Symposium. The principle is that you can make a permanent shape in synthetic textiles by heating it. Working with this technique I came from one application to another, really having fun with the project. The hat you see here was one of my favorite results. I am now working on making more hats with different materials, like a flower hat in synthetic organza.
You still can watch all classes en demos from this Fiber Art Symposium 2021 by ordering the whole package for a very decent price.

I love textiles!
